Ethnography Questions

I will either be interviewing one of my teammates or a member of my family. But my questions will look like this.

1. What is you ideal type of movie?

2. Growing up, what kind of television shows did you watch?

3. Did you ever have any role models from any television show or movie?

4. Do TV show stars, make good movie actors?

5. Do you think Will Smith's name sells more movies than his actual acting ability?

6. IF you were writing an autobiography, what would each chapter be titled?

7. Who is your favorite hollywood actor?

8. What is your favorite movie?

A lot of these questions can be answered with a word or two. You want to make sure that you can open up the discussion. Try to come up with a specific movie you know the interview subject is attached to and ask what it is about will smith or his character that appeals to them. You want to get the person talking about Will Smith and what makes him such a charismatic actor, or what makes his films their favorites.

I think it would be a good idea to interview a team mate, and see what
your peers think of Will Smith and his movies/ acting abilities. I feel
that people from our generation grew up always knowing who he was, and now
to see how he has evolved from "The Fresh Prince" to a successful film
actor is really interesting--especially the types of characters he has
played.
